London Nightlife: Where the Locals Go

London Nightlife: Where the Locals Go
London is the world’s second most popular cities to visit.  Every year, more than 14 million international overnight visitors arrive in the city in search of that ‘once-in-a-lifetime-experience’.  Of these 14 million visitors, many come for the nightlife.  As visitors, it’s not always easy to know where to go to find the places where it’s really happening, but the locals know.  Here, we look at some inside information on the best places to visit for the perfect night out.

London is renowned throughout the world for its alternative music scene, so firstly, we’ll look at some of the best nightclubs in the city:

Fabric
London has the best clubbing scene in the world, whether you are into Trance, Techno, Drum & Bass, dub-Techno, House, you will find it at Fabric.  Fabric is best known for highlighting underground DJ talent.  You will find all the biggest names from the underground music scene at Fabric.  Depending on which day you visit, you will hear sets from resident DJs and guest DJs, like Urban Nerds.

With their ‘Bodysonic’ dance floor, clubbers are in for a treat, and can feel the base pumping through their bodies.  The club has various rooms, each playing different sets.

Club Aquarium
This is one of the best clubs in the world, because it features a swimming pool and a Jacuzzi, which guests can actually use!

You can find it in the up and coming area of Shoreditch, now considered one of the trendiest parts of the city.
It’s quite a small club, with a total capacity of 500, but this just makes it more intimate.  A chill out room exists for those that need to escape the ever-pumping base lines.
The club hosts a range of different nights, including anything from clubby music to corporate events.  Find out what’s on at their website.

Pacha London
Pacha is part of a chain of nightclubs throughout the world, most notable, London, Sharm El Sheik, and Ibiza.

They are firmly part of the underground clubbing scene and attract the biggest names.  The buzzword at Pacha is ‘hedonism’, this is a place to have fun and dance into the day. You will find all kinds of clubland music at Pacha, from House to dub-step.  These are some of the most amazing nights in the world.

Where to Stay
You will be coming out of the clubs in the early hours of the morning, and as they cost a fair amount of money to get into, you will probably want to stay in a cheap hotel London.  There are plenty about, but you should try to stay in a hotel as near to the club as possible, as the tubes generally stop running from 1.00am to 5.00am.  Most of these clubs don’t kick out until around 5.00am.

If you stay at one of the later opening clubs, you can save money by staying in budget hotels near London, rather than in the city centre, by 5.00am the trains are starting up again, and you’ll be able to get back easily.
